Social Media is changing the way journalists work. Looking back in our rearview mirror we can see how technological advances have changed how we get our news. Typewriters out, computers in; passing around newspaper clippings out, sharing stories on Facebook in; watching news at specific times out, streaming news whenever convenient in.

News is available 24 hours a day. It is immediate and journalists now have the ability to establish a one-to-one relationship with their fans through Social Media.

This month, Emmy-winning journalist, Stephanie Lucero will explain how we can stay connected to local news. How to even pitch the right stories at the right time to reporters for maximum impact. And, how reporters strategically use Social Media in this changing world.
